I’ve been a member of the Balmy Beach Club for a long time and for years, I’ve had people asking me to run some courses at the Club. Recently, it was suggested that they could be modelled after the very popular TED Talks (covering the broad categories of Technology, Education and Design).

These 3 hour POWER Talks will start with the areas of my expertise (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), but the idea is for them to extend from something as simple as how to get the most out of your iPhone/iPad, to video editing and motion graphics or whatever people express interest in learning.

The other core concept of these talks is to keep the cost low and the sessions short, which is not the norm when it comes to software training. A full day of technical information is too much for most people. 3 hours appears to be the perfect amount of time.
